Chicago Opens Arms and Hearts to Hong Kong Culture in May
Chicago, IL - April 30, 2009 - The Windy City will welcome representatives from Hong Kong to embrace the island’s unique culture, creativity and economic vitality starting May 1. The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in New York (HKETONY), the representative office of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government, today announced the launch of the Hong Kong Comes to Chicago 2009 Festival (the festival) – held in conjunction with the city’s month-long celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month.

Growth of Mobile Data Usage Exemplifies Hong Kong’s Development as Wireless City
April 13, 2009 - The Office of the Telecommunications Authority (OFTA) today published for the first time the statistics of local mobile data usage, which sees a surge to 147 Terabytes (i.e. 147,000 Gigabytes) as of January 2009, or an average amount of 44 Mbytes per 2.5G/3G mobile user for that particular month. This represents four times and 14 times the mobile data usage over the same period in 2008 and 2007 respectively.
