December 7, 2020 - The Hong Kong Monetary Authority announced today that the official foreign currency reserve assets of Hong Kong amounted to US$486 billion as at the end of November 2020, compared with US$474.9 billion at end-October.

There were no unsettled foreign exchange contracts at end-November 2020 (end-October 2020: US$1 billion).

The total foreign currency reserve assets of US$486 billion represent over six times the currency in circulation or about 42 per cent of Hong Kong dollar M3.
