May 7, 2020 - The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) announced today that the official foreign currency reserve assets of Hong Kong amounted to US$441.2 billion as at the end of April 2020, compared to US$437.6 billion at end-March 2020.

Including unsettled foreign exchange contracts, the foreign currency reserve assets of Hong Kong at the end of April 2020 amounted to US$440.7 billion, compared to US$437.6 billion at end-March 2020.

The total foreign currency reserve assets of US$441.2 billion represent over six times the currency in circulation or about 46 per cent of Hong Kong dollar M3.
